Dubai and Abu Dhabi are synonyms for the Tourism industry which has traveled miles to achieve the status of being the tourism hub of the region.
The achievement has seen the country and the main cities growing at neck break speed in just 30 years to be compared with the likes of Malaysia and Turkey. Out of 124 countries, Dubai enjoys itself at the 18th pole position. And ranking 5 out of 7 in the Arab World, Dubai has been instrumental to carve its international brand with its name. Dubai itself has been recognized as a global brand. According to Dubai’s General Directorate of Foreign Affairs, tourism grew 79% in 2011 as compared to 2010.
As per MasterCard’s survey, Dubai’s ranking has left behind cities like Tokyo, Bangkok, Seoul, Rome, New York, Amsterdam and the rest of the MENA region making it the 9th most favorable and preferred destinations for the tourists.
To add to it, Abu Dhabi has been vociferous in maintaining its development streak and now the real estate sector has come of age in both the cities and still much is left to be discovered and unraveled. Abu Dhabi Government is now keen to promote the city and the culture since late. The strategy has added a series of developing ideas springing up in real estate, tourism and landmarks.
Abu Dhabi is actively promoting the image far and wide – notable for Abu Dhabi are the landmark islands being developed at alarming rate. 14,000 residential units are due to be added in later half of 2011. Significant places coming up are Reem Island, Sowwah and Yas Island; the latter being home to the Formula 1 racing tournaments.
Apart from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Sharjah is a rising metropolitan with speedy real estate developments sprawling every part of the cultural city. Shariah is the parallel of Dubai in every sense and blends not only in the commercial growth but also in attraction.
